About us
Our company’s concept was envisioned back in 2012, while we were providing advisory services for a Colombian government organisation. Since that time we were encouraged to use our talent for connecting people, institutions and communities, and to develop holistic approaches on environmental management and sustainability. At the time we felt unprepared to face this challenge but, with hard work and dedication over the last 10 years we created an extensive network of experts in their fields, who delivered numerous projects across areas of industry, academia and public services. Better prepared and matured, in January 2022 we created B&D SOLUTIONS (Biodiversity & Development-Solutions For Sustainability), an organisation that can offer holistic solutions to enable investment in tropical coastal areas, while promoting social transparency and sustainable approaches.

The aim of our enterprise is to promote social transparency and support sustainable development goals (SDGs) in coastal tropical environments, being cognisant of the needs for conservation and the development of the productive sector.

The company provides the experience and knowledge acquired by our staff members on marine-maritime and coastal issues around the world to deliver real, practical, and sustainable solutions to day-to-day problems.
Staff
Our staff members (biologists, ecologists, geologists, IT, among others) are a variety of inter-disciplinary professionals specialized in several marine and coastal topics such as: Climate Change and Adaptation, Carbon Storage, valuation of marine environments, monitoring and restoration of strategic marine tropical environments (coral reefs, seagrass meadows, mangroves, rocky shores, soft benthic environments), biodiversity and conservation, environmental services, connectivity, biological indicators, coastal engineering, geology, hydrology and oceanography, harbour management and maritime issues, beside the traditional consultancy topics (baseline studies, EIA, environmental appraisals, RA, etc.).

Our employees have been trained and have acquired experience in Latin America and Europe. We offer quality, efficiency, punctuality and adherence to international standards. We not only aim to do the job on time, but do it properly. Since we started as a company, we consider that it is better to focus on what we do well. Therefore, we prioritise quality over quantity.
In some cases, we may be the contact point between our customer and third parties. In those cases, we will be responsible for our third parties and we will advise our customers when and how to build solutions, while maintaining our standards.
